Lynnette Frazier, Chief of Staff, for Boston City Councillor Charles C. Yancey for the past nine years is committed to serving the public and helping constituents solve their problems when they have no other alternatives. Most of her life she has worked in the private sector. She keeps active in local community cultural events, associated with VIET-AID Community Center, collaborated with BOLD teens to host a summer movie night in Codman Square, hires and mentors youth with CORI’s to give them employment opportunities and is the coordinator for the Annual Charles C. Yancey Book Fair that hosts close to 1200 families per year.

Her activism started under Rev. Fitz John’s, Greenwood Memorial United Methodist Church, leadership where she served with him on the Board of the Greater Four Corners Action Coalition for close to six years on the Finance and Fundraising committee, she served on the Bowdoin/Geneva Main Street Board for three years, served as Co-Chair of the United Neighborhood Association (UNA) for two years and still committed and active with the association to connect residents with city resources and challenging them to be aware of public safety issues in their neighborhood. Under her leadership as co-chair she revitalized the Claybourne Street Dorchester Gardenland as a community garden for residents in the neighborhood to enjoy growing vegetables and flowers.

Lynnette Frazier was born and raised in Boston where she attended Roslindale High School and graduated cum laude from Northeastern University with a B.S. degree in Business Administration. She is a democratic ward delegate and on her spare time she likes to volunteer, garden, go dancing, crocheting and spending time with her granddaughter.
