With the end of Summer approaching, August has certainly had its highs and lows but we move forward with fervor and hope to motivate ourselves to become just a little bit better. This month we explore the results of the new proposed redistricting who looks to divide Mattapan and Lower Mills. We also delve into the safety hazards of transporting ethanol through Boston. Councillor Charles Yancey and the Committee of Environment and Human Rights discuss the health and security risks that may unfold if Global Petroleum Corporation is granted permission.

Inside of this month’s digest, Councillor Yancey welcomed NASA astronauts to Boston, got his kicks with Sawby’s Tae Kwon Do Academy, and celebrated National Night Out. There’s a lot going on, but our staff writer, Ken, dutifully covers it all just for you!
